A Vision for Our Future
Dear Essential Family,
It is amazing what God has done through the people of Essential Church over the past 8 years! Our church has grown from 21 adults in a living room to hundreds of people meeting weekly in multiple worship services. God has used us to see hundreds of people accept Christ, be baptized, and learn to live for Jesus!
We are launching a new initiative we are calling More Than Us. This initiative is about creating more room for new believer classes, meeting areas for people in recovery, space for our growing youth ministry, and room for our growing kids ministry! Please pray about how God would like to use you and your family to reach the 300,000+ people in our area who feel church isn’t for them!

Why This Is Important
We are currently out of space on Saturdays and Sundays and nearly out of space on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. We have demand right now for new believer classes, small groups, recovery groups, kids' and youth's spaces, and offices. We are only waiting for the space before giving the green light for these ministries. God keeps sending us more people, and we want to be prepared to welcome them. Pending we hit our goal, work will begin immediately!
“Acquisition of the Methodist building will continue to unlock Essential Church's ministry potential to reach those in Five Points and greater Huntsville who need to find and experience the love and grace of our Lord Jesus and who need a community that is committed to loving one another well. The additional space will allow us to expand our kid's ministry in our current facility. It will enable small group and other larger group meetings throughout the week and during the weekend services. Located only a block away, it is a very convenient location for our staff offices and provides additional parking that we so desperately need. God has tremendously blessed Essential Church over the course of my 5 years here, and I'm excited to see and be a part of what He does over the next 5 years and beyond!”

We used saved money allocated for ministry growth to purchase the Southern Methodist building for $410,000. As part of the deal, we also agreed to contribute $90,000 to church planting initiatives (which we were happy to do!).
Our More Than Us Goal is $360,000. With money raised, we will create:
75-person+ Chapel designed for recovery, youth, and discipleship
Six multi-use environments for small groups, volunteer training, and meetings
Eight offices
Improve the exterior of the facilities
Re-line parking lot giving us an additional 40+ parking spots (hooray!)
Transform current offices into additional kid rooms
