Our Vision

Why we exist

We call this place Essential for two reasons.

 

First, many Christians in Huntsville have become distracted. We love talking about secondary or tertiary points of our faith, but are surprisingly silent on the essential points of following Jesus. God has given us enough time to do what we are called to do, but we are not given enough time to do everything. We must focus Christians on doing what is essential: Loving God with all that we have and loving our neighbors as ourselves.

Second, we believe most people are after the same things: love, hope, peace, joy, meaning, etc. If you look for those things in anything other than Jesus you will be left disappointed. If you are looking for peace, joy, hope, love, truth, etc., it’s essential you find it in Jesus Christ.

Our mission is to create a church for people who feel church isn’t for them

We will create a safe place for you and your friends to explore the teachings of Jesus.

We will end homelessness in Huntsville for God’s glory.

We will open a business to be a blessing to others.

We will start 1000 churches here and abroad, not only to see our city engaged, but to see an entire generation changed

We will be Bibically centered and outwardly focused.

We are committed to see our people growing in their faith in real and practical ways.

I will treasure and prioritize weekly worship

I will love the people in my small group

I will make a difference by serving

I will trust God by giving

I will invite others to follow Jesus with me
